Acrokeratosis verruciformis of Hopf

This is like seborrhoeic warts only smaller on the back of hands and feet.  Starting as small dirty looking papules over back of hands and feet looking like warts to the untrained eye these are not troublesome at all.  It starts around 10-20 years of age and increases slowly.  The condition is inherited although some patients have no family members affected.

Treatment

  1. 2% salicylic acid may be treated.
  2. Tretinoin cream 0.05% may be used.
  3. Liquid Nitrogen cryotherapy may be used but because of the multiple lesions it may be impractical.
