ANETODERMA (Anetos – means slack) This is a skin condition that results in tiny areas of slack skin. The cause is unknown. For
some reason the elastic tissue in the dermis is destroyed resulting in slack
skin. Initially there could be reddish lesions which result in small
areas of slack skin. Many conditions too numerous to be listed have been associated some of
them anecdotal. Investigation Certain blood tests may be done. Skin
biopsy may be done if the diagnosis is in doubt. Treatment No effective treatment is known. Treatment that have been tried include Epsilon amino caproic acid. Phenytoin Dapsone Vitamin E
