ERYTHRASMA

 

This is a bacterial infection affecting the groins, thighs, and genitalia.

It is caused by a bacteria called Coryne bacterium minutissimum.

Clinically there are pinkish scaly wrinkled patches in the above area.

 

Treatment

Erythromycin 250mg four times daily for 5 days

Topical antibiotics

Topical antifungals
