LICHEN NITIDUS

Lichen nitidus refers to a type of eczema which starts commonly in children or adolescents.  It is seen as small skin colored raised papules 2-3 mm in diameter.  Certain parts of the body are more affected like trunk, arms, and genitals.  Sometimes it can be seen in palms, soles or inside the mouth.

Treatment

It usually settles on its own while topical steroids helps to hasten resolution.

Some doctors believe Lichen nitidus is related to Lichen planus.
