LICHEN SCLEROSUS ET ATROPHICUS  

Other names white spot disease

Distinct white pink atrophic scar like papules develop which can enlarge to form layer areas.  Seen in genital areas commonly in women it can occur elsewhere and in men as well when it occurs in young children in the genitals it can cause extreme discomfort and may even narrow the genital opening.  Areas of redness due to bleeding into the skin induced by rubbing the skin may be seen.
