MYXOID CYST

 This is a harmless collection of a jelly like substance – hyaluronic acid on the fingers close to the nail.  A linear depression of the nail appears and is characteristic.

Investigations

 none required

 Treatment

1.      Liquid nitrogen Cryotherapy

2.      intralesional steroids

3.      excision biopsy

             have all been tried with reasonable success.
