Pseudopelade of Brocq This is a pattern of hair loss that results due to scar formation in the
scalp. This pattern may be seen in
many other skin diseases affecting the scalp hence these must be ruled out. The patient usually notices areas of hair loss that appears
smooth, shiny with worsening at frequent intervals.
A classic description includes “foot prints in the snow” appearance. Skin biopsy will be required. Treatment Topical steroids can be tried
with unpredictable response. Intralesional steroids may also be tried
