Spitz Nevus

This is a type of a mole.  It is seen as a round hairless firm nodule, pinkish or red in color.  These appear on the face.  Most spitz naevi appear before puberty.  Skin biopsy helps to make the diagnosis even though it may be difficult to differentiate from a melanoma (mole becoming skin cancer)

It must be removed by excision biopsy (removing it totally)
