TRANSIENT ACANTHOLYTIC DERMATOSIS

syn Grover 's  disease

This is an acquired skin disease which is seen as itchy papules and vesicles resulting in soreness over the area.

The lesions appear on the shoulders, neck, thighs, scalp rapidly.  Some of the papules can become rough and may have crusting.

The lesions may resolve only to relapse later.

Cause – various factors are thought to precipitate

1. sun & sun burn
2. heat exposure
3. sweating
4. fever
5. radiation treatment
6. cancers

Oral vitamin A

Isotretinoin

Etretinate
